La population est mixte entre humains sains et humains infectés. Les infectés représentent un huitième de la population, et contrairement à d’autre lieux du Pharénos, ils vivent en harmonie avec les humains sains. Personality

Once a noble and just man, Balinor had become a shell of his former self by the time Arthur and Merlin discovered him. While he healed Arthur who had been raked by the claws of the dragon, he absolutely refused to help Uther, his persecutor. He angrily recounted how Uther destroyed his people and the dragons and then had the nerve to imprison the Great Dragon under the pretence of peace. As far as he was concerned, the dragon’s anger and actions were justified and Uther and Camelot were getting what they deserved for what happened during the Great Purge.

However, Merlin was able to persuade Balinor to reconsider when he mentioned how Gaius told him of the Dragonlords’ nobility, causing him to realise that he still had some friends left in Camelot to whom he owed a debt for saving his life all those years ago.

Balinor was shocked to learn that he had a son but was also happy and told Merlin that he was proud of him just before he died. He was also a man who considered his words before speaking.

Мерлин — юный волшебник, посланный матерью в Камелот к придворному лекарю Гаюсу. Прибыв в столицу королевства, Мерлин обнаруживает, что король Утер Пендрагон запретил магию и её использование карается смертной казнью. Юный маг знакомится с Великим драконом — Килгаррой, — прикованным цепью в подземелье дворца, и тот рассказывает Мерлину о его предназначении — защищать принца Артура.

Если первый сезон сосредоточен на развитии образа Мерлина и на его дружбе с Артуром, то второй раскрывает характеры остальных персонажей. Abilities

Mordred, even at a young age, was magically brilliant enough to master the use of the Crystal of Neahtid; both Alvarr and Kilgarrah acknowledged his ability to wield said crystal. He could cast a stunning spell strong enough to kill off the soldiers that were sent to rescue Morgana with a single hit, visibly unnerving Merlin, and to escape from death at the hands of the Camelot Guards who killed the other bandits after being knocked down by Merlin, he levitated and hurled several spears at the guards, killing them. Although as a young man Mordred rarely used magic since he felt he still needed to hide it, even though Uther Pendragon was dead, to the point he did not even use telepathy anymore, despite the fact that only those who had magic could hear him, Mordred’s powers had clearly grown considerably. Although he claimed not to be as powerful as Morgana, he was still able to easily knock her out with a single non verbal stunning spell moments later when he had her off-guard (With All My Heart). Upon becoming enraged and deeply hurt because of Kara’s death, he was able to cause many objects, such as a table, in the dungeon where he was locked, to vibrate violently and was able to use his scream to cause the prison door to the cell to be knocked off its hinges (The Drawing of the Dark). Later, alongside Morgana, he was able to cast a powerful spell to summon a small meteor to help in the siege.

Mordred was later made into a Knight of Camelot, after saving Arthur’s life from Morgana. During his training with Arthur and his knights, Mordred quickly proved to be an outstandingly talented swordsman and Arthur was highly impressed by his skill, with him managing to fight the king on equal footing and even beat him in their training sessions, although Arthur clearly held back as it was a friendly spar. Although he was exceptionally young for a Knight of the Round Table, Mordred was one of the most lethal warriors in Camelot. As shown by the vision Merlin saw, Mordred had the potential to become so skilled in swordplay that by the time he turned against Arthur, he had became capable of fighting the king as an equal and striking him down, according to a vision that Merlin had seen. Indeed, during the Siege, he not only killed several Camelot soldiers with ease but he would also manage to fulfill his destiny and strike Arthur to his death, although he was soon killed by Arthur in return — it must also be noted that Arthur did briefly hesitate to harm Mordred, which likely aided by Mordred’s ability to kill him. (The Diamond of the Day).

AbilitiesEdit

The Sidhe are very powerful creatures, capable of casting very strong spells, and are described as «masters of enchantments». Many of their kind use staffs to help focus their powers when casting spells. This can range from enchantments to bolts of energy; other wielders of magic can also use these staffs for the same purposes.

They practice their own kind of magic, known as Sidhe magic. They also have the ability to implant one of their own kin inside a human, during the human’s infancy. The Sidhe would continue to live inside of the person, till about twenty years later, when it would emerge and possess the person, taking complete control over them.

Although not truly immortal, the Sidhe are very close because they can live for thousands of years; because of this, they are as ancient as the Dragons. They can apparently only be killed by strong magic. If cursed to a mortal existence, they find the experience of almost dying unnerving.

It was hinted by Gaius that the Sidhe may have powerful healing Magic, as he told Merlin that is would take Magic as old as the Dragons to heal Arthur and believed that The Sidhe could heal Arthur.

PersonalityEdit

Edwin Muirden clearly loved his parents, and their deaths during his childhood had caused him to grow into a cunning and embittered man. He was long obsessed with having revenge on Uther for orphaning and causing him to be disfigured. He acted as a loyal and benign servant to the king while gaining his trust then then revealed his true intentions while Uther was weak, paralyzed and helpless. He also displayed a sadistic side to his personality, demonstrated when he told Uther that he longed to hear him scream just like his parents did during their execution. Despite this, Edwin appeared to be fond of Merlin to some extent, though he valued his revenge more, and told Gaius he would reveal Merlin’s magic if he had told anyone about his identity and intentions. He also didn’t hesitate to try and kill Merlin when he turned against him, showing that he was unhesitatant to kill for what he believed.

In Gaelic (Irish and Highland Scottish) mythology and folklore the Sídhe are also known as Aos Sí, and sometimes as the Túatha De Danann. They are similar to the Elves of Norse mythology (and as, to some extent, those portrayed in Tolkien’s works on Middle Earth), and are not at all like the small pixie-like creatures depicted in Merlin. They inhabit the Otherworld (which is similar to the Otherworld of Welsh mythology known as «Annwn» and may well be linked to «Avalon») and are immortal, but not necessarily evil. However, they do tend only to care about themselves even when dealing with men, and iron and steel are traditionally inimical to them.

When the daughter of Lord Godwyn, Princess Elena was born, a Sidhe elder came and cast a spell on her, implanting a faerie in her body. He then had his Pixie servant, Grunhilda, disguise herself as a human and become her nanny. Grunhilda regularly sprinkled her with Pixie dust as she slept so that when the time was right, the Sidhe inside her would completely possess her. The right time would be when she married Arthur Pendragon (The Changeling).

The Sidhe banished Aulfric and Sophia from Avalon giving them human bodies and a mortal existence, as punishment for Aulfric killing another Sidhe. Aulfric wished to allow Sophia access to return to Avalon and convinced her to enchant Arthur Pendragon so that they might sacrifice him to the Sidhe, who required the soul of a mortal prince as payment for immortality for Sophia. Merlin turned up at the last minute and saved Arthur by attacking and killing both Aulfric and Sophia with Sophia’s Sidhe staff (The Gates of Avalon).

When Elena was 20, Godwyn and his old friend Uther Pendragon organised an arranged marriage between Arthur and Elena. Merlin soon discovered the truth but when Grunhilda informed the Sidhe elder of this he went to kill Merlin in his sleep. Merlin, however, was able to destroy him using the Sidhe staff that previously belonged to Sophia. Gaius then created a tonic to get the Sidhe out of Elena and Merlin killed Grunhilda, along with the faerie (The Changeling).

They were mentioned by Gaius when Merlin asked if their was a way to save Arthur and Gaius replied that it would take magic as old as the dragons to heal and told Merlin The Sidhe could save Arthur (The Diamond of the Day: Part 2).

LegendsEdit

• In some versions of the legends, the red dragon — symbolising Wales, King Arthur, and Christianity — kills the white dragon — symbolising the Saxons, Morgan Le Fay and paganism. The red dragon is most likely

• In others, the red dragon symbolises a tyrant king (most likely Vortegrin) who had been defeated, whose banner was a red dragon. King Uther killed him while riding under a white dragon banner. There were two dragons sleeping in stone beneath the tyrant king’s tower, which wouldn’t stay standing. So, Merlin (Emrys, in the original), a resident of the village who had been forced to build the tower, informed him of the dragons. Thus the tyrant dug underneath the tower and found two massive hollow stones. He broke them and the two shot into the sky and started fighting. The white won, killed the red, and then flew off. Less than a week later King Uther, who was then just Sir Uther, and thousands of other knights, came under the white dragon banner. King Uther delivered the final blow. 

Spin-OffEdit

Shine TV is set to be planning a spin-off series to the TV show with characters from The Adventures of Merlin. Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy are set to not take part in it whatsoever. There are many rumours on whom the spin-off series will be set around, many fans suggest big characters such as: Kilgharrah, Aithusa, The Dragons, Mordred, Lancelot, Elyan, Gwaine, Alvarr, Enmyria, Nimueh, Freya, Balinor, Morgause, Vivienne, Cerdan, Iseldir, Aglain, The Druids, Tristan, Isolde, Mithian, Daegal, Alator, Finna, Sefa, Arthur Pendragon, and Morgana Pendragon, or simply the characters that were alive at the end of the finale of the series. such as: Merlin, Gaius, Leon, Percival, and Guinevere Pendragon, There has been no further information on this to date.

BirthEdit

Aithusa was brought into existence after the Dragonlord, Merlin, rescued the egg from the Tomb of Ashkanar and Julius Borden. As Merlin learned from The Great Dragon, a dragon will only hatch when a Dragonlord gives it a name. Using his power as the last Dragonlord, Merlin names the hatchling Aithusa. Then, only moments later, Aithusa was born.

Saving MorganaEdit

Aithusa presumably remains with Kilgharrah while maturing. When Morgana loses the throne of Camelot for the second time and is gravely injured fighting her way out, Aithusa flies to where she lies dying in the forest. Morgana, cured by the dragon’s breath, appears both shocked and elated at the sight of the dragon, smiling in disbelief as Aithusa flies away, right after healing her (The Sword in the Stone).

ImprisonmentEdit

Following the events of Aithusa saving Morgana, they were both captured and imprisoned by Sarrum of Amata, Aithusa grew too large for the pit in which the Dragon was locked away. With no room to grow, Aithusa became twisted and crippled, its cries of pain could be heard from outside the pit and were said more pitiful than that of Morgana’s (Arthur’s Bane, The Hollow Queen). 

Aithusa attacks again, at the battle of Camlann.

Tormented Ally of MorganaEdit

Aithusa bonds with Morgana within the next three years, since they spend two of those years imprisoned and tortured together by Sarrum. When Aithusa visits Morgana, just before Arthur and Merlin arrive to rescue the knights Morgana captured, the Dragon has grown quite a bit larger, although it is still small enough to fit in Morgana’s bedroom and the caves in which Morgana is searching. Aithusa attacks Merlin, Arthur, and Gwaine, who are all shocked that Morgana has found a dragon. Merlin chases after Aithusa and when the White Dragon tries to attack him, he blocks the Dragon’s fire with a magical shield and then uses his Dragonlord ability to command Aithusa to stop attacking. Merlin realises that something traumatic happened to Aithusa, and it is revealed that the dragon also cannot speak. Merlin commands Aithusa to go, allowing the Dragon to exercise its free will to choose its own loyalties. (Arthur’s Bane:Part Two). 

Merlin confronts Aithusa

Later after these events, the Dochraid warns Morgana about Merlin’s attempt to heal Morgana’s puppet Guinevere, who was under her control, she turned to Aithusa for help. The white dragon attacks Merlin, Arthur, and Mordred with the knocked-out Guinevere in tow at a canyon. Just as before, Merlin uses his Dragonlord powers to send Aithusa away and end the Dragon’s attack (With All My Heart).

The Final BattleEdit

Upon the Battle of Camlann. Aithusa uses its breath to forge a sword for Morgana’s ally Mordred. Later on, during the battle, Aithusa fights alongside the Saxons and attacks the knights of Camelot by air, but flies away with a scream once Merlin uses his Dragonlord powers against the White Dragon. It is unknown what Aithusa’s fate was after the battle, and unknown how the Dragon will fulfill its role as the «Light of the Sun» (The Diamond of the Day).
